Group Financial Controller

What are you going to do
For The Vincent Hotel Group in Amsterdam we are looking for Group Financial Controller. As Group Financial Controller you will be responsible for hotel and business controlling for the entire portfolio. You will lead, coach and develop the central Finance Team, who are all based at the support office in Amsterdam. Together with the team you are responsible for the daily financial operations. You analyze, control and optimize historical and future data. Thereby you manage the weekly and monthly quarterly & annual reporting. As Group Financial Controller you are part of the Senior Leadership Team of the hotel group and involved in strategic decision making. You will report to the Operations Director, with a dotted line to the Finance Team of the management company.
Your tasks and responsibilities
  • Management reporting activities, including preparation and analysis of monthly rolling forecasts and reporting to owners/stakeholders
  • Analyze hotel performance against budget/forecast and key performance indicators
  • Assist in the annual budgeting process
  • Initiate, lead and improve financial reporting and accounting processes
  • Identify and monitor signals of risk or fraud
  • Provide accurate and complete financial data (P&L) to management, including analysis of key P&L variables
  • Collaborate with HODs to analyze business results to ensure targets are set and achieved
  • Provide financial and statutory reporting to ensure the organization is in control and compliant with all relevant regulations
  • Develop the Finance Team
Your profile
  • You have a completed bachelor or master degree in financial direction, such as Accounting & Control
  • You have at least 8 years of relevant work experience in Finance, hotel/catering industry knowledge or holding experience is an advantage
  • Fluent in Dutch and English
  • You think in solutions and know how to motivate a team
  • You have the ability to recognize opportunities and want to continuously improve processes
  • You are communicatively strong. Your communication skills are frequently used in dealing with others and converted into interaction with the team, hotel employees and third parties which has a positive impact on the hotel, the brands and the company
  • You are driven and highly motivated, with the ability to work within set deadlines and set priorities
