What are you going to do

Student Experience is a successful scale-up, based in Amsterdam. They specialize in student housing in The Netherlands and are actively expanding to Spain. This offers amazing opportunities for new projects and building new locations abroad. As an Assistant Controller at Student Experience, you will work in a team consisting of the CFO, Financial Controller, Business Controller, and yourself. In this position, you will be responsible for the entire financial administration of all Dutch entities. In addition, you make sure that the monthly, quarterly and annual reports are taken care of and you are responsible for the preparation of the Financial Statements.

Your tasks and responsibilities
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual reports, as well as support with budget and cash flow forecasting
  • Prepare the annual accounts and contribute to the audit process
  • Closely cooperate with the CFO, Business and Financial Controller and all internal departments
  • Take care of the entire financial administration and business administration of all Dutch entities, both operational holding and project entities
  • Prepare payment proposals and ensure approvals on these proposals
  • Other ad hoc activities, for example, improving processes
Your profile
  • You have completed your bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Economics, or something similar
  • You can work independently, are stress-resistant, you work accurately and signal possible problems in time
  • You are a collaborative and social person and like to connect with your colleagues
  • You are fluent in English (preferably Dutch and/or Spanish)
  • Available for 32 – 40 hours a week (are you looking for a job for three days? It is also possible to apply!)
