What are you going to do

For our client we are looking for a Senior Manager FP&A. Our client is a new age/new era digital advertising and marketing services company, listed on the London Stock Exchange. They are building a purely digital advertising and marketing services business for global, multi-nationals, regional, local and millennial-driven influencer brands. The company is active in over 32 countries with over 8,000 people. Although the company itself is headquartered in London, a large part of the financial backbone is operating in Hilversum the Netherlands.

Your key responsibility will be to create and lead a FP&A team to provide visibility of performance and financials across teams and improving on current processes and procedures to create a function fit for a FTSE125 company. Due to the growth and transition of the organization, the tasks and duties of this role may evolve over time. You will be keen to develop and grow within the role and to take on additional challenges and responsibilities as they occur. You will be reporting to the SVP Corporate Finance, operating out of the Hilversum office the Netherlands.

Your tasks and responsibilities
  • Run annual budgets and periodic forecasts including going concern assessments
  • Develop a deep understanding of actual performance versus plans (budgets, forecast, etc) and influence senior management with relevant action points
  • Run monthly and periodic consolidated management and board reporting including preparation of board and committee briefings to help drive the right discussions
  • Continuously improve the Group’s financial models to meet increasingly challenging requirements, including, but not limited to, cash-flow and balance sheet planning, management reporting templates and going concern assessments for 100+ legal entities
  • Develop and implementing a roadmap for FP&A technology to deliver accurate budget and actual data
  • Designing the FP&A team to continue to further the group’s strategic objectives
  • Build strong relationships with practice teams, and other internal stakeholders, to ensure FP&A is a group wide function
  • Work closely with the reporting, treasury, tax and legal teams to integrate mergers into the FP&A function
  • Be an active leader within Finance, helping to set culture, strategy and goals for the function and influence the team to embed and maintain a strong financial control environment to deliver high quality reporting
  • Adhoc projects as and when required
Your profile
  • 15+ years’ experience in a relevant role, of which 5+ years leading a FP&A department of relevant size
  • Experience in building, and desire to build, a structure and organizational process from scratch
  • Ability to understand, build and consolidate complex excel models
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree or equivalent experience
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • You’re fluent in English, both verbally and in writing
  • No rigid nine-to-five mentality
