Accounting Manager

What are you going to do

We are looking for an Accounting Manager for our client City ID in Amsterdam. In this role you will be responsible for the supervision and coordination of the accounting/ financial control team (3 persons in total) and accounting operations regarding their operating apartment hotels. This consists of three hotels in Amsterdam, two restaurants and three hotels under development with future international developments in the pipeline and many interesting accounting topics coming along.

You will report to the Finance Manager Operations, and be part of the wider Finance function of the group.

Your tasks and responsibilities
  • Reviews and analyzes business results throughout the aparthotels to ensure alignment with the aparthotels financial objectives
  • Controlling of balance sheet positions
  • Manages the compilation and preparation of the financial statement and first point of contact of the auditors
  • Accounting- and audit position papers
  • Oversees the local compliance of the international group entities
  • Continuous improvement of procedures, systems and procedures and initiate corrective actions
  • Coordinate and complete annual audits
  • Risk management and maintaining adequate internal controls in financial function
  • Compile, prepare, back-up and analyze various financial reports and statements to provide accurate, timely information to guest, management, corporate and ownership
  • Delegate and organize complex projects and establish priorities consistent with department/aparthotel objectives
Your profile
  • Relevant education at university level (RA is a plus)
  • 5 to 10 years of relevant work experience within an accounting role (big 6 or experience in the business)
  • Excellent MS-Office skills, especially in Excel and PowerPoint
  • Good command of the Dutch and English language, orally and in writing
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • Result-oriented, self-starter, decisive
  • Theability to perform critical analysis and manage a wide-range of information
