For our client, a new age/new era digital advertising and marketing services company based in Hilversum, we are looking for a Senior GL Accountant. As Senior GL Accountant you will play a crucial role in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring IFRS compliance and providing valuable insight to support strategic decision making. You will report directly to the Group Finance Operation Manager. For this position it is important to have a strong accounting background, exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, cross-functional environment.

Oversee 20+ holding companies’ preparation, review, and reconciliation of complex general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and compliance with IFRS and Group policies
Lead the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring timely and accurate financial reporting
Liaise with other group entities around the world on intercompany reconciliation and recharges
Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements, including balance sheets and income statements, providing insights into the company's financial performance
Provide input to the FP&A team for updating the consolidated budgets and forecasts of the group
Maintain and improve internal controls related to the general ledger and financial reporting processes to mitigate risks and enhance financial integrity
Manage indirect tax filings (VAT, BTW, GST etc.)
Ad hoc projects as required

You have a completed bachelor or master degree in financial direction, such as Accounting & Control or Financial reporting
You have at least five years of relevant work experience in Finance, preferably within an international company
You are analytical, have problem-solving skills, with the ability to dissect complex financial data and communicate insights effectively
You have advanced Excel skills. Experience with Exact Online, Blue10 and/or LucaNet is a plus
You have effective interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments
You are a positive thinker with the ability to adapt to evolving business needs and a willingness to embrace continuous learning
Fluent in English, both verbally and in writing

A good salary of €60.000 - €70.000,- based on earlier derived knowledge and experience
